We are thrilled to announce our next historical film project, celebrating the life and legacy of Miss Ethel Hovey, a true pioneer from Colwyn Bay. This year marks 80 years since she broke barriers as the first female Mayor of Colwyn Bay Borough Council. Her legacy includes setting up vital maternity clinics in Colwyn Bay, staffed by midwives and a qualified doctor, and establishing a scholarship for girls from the area to study at Bangor University.
